Good German upscale cuisine. The ambience is a bit old-fashioned but still appropriate. The service was very nice, but could be a bit quicker. The prices are fair, because the cuisine is convincing. Unfortunately, not all dishes on the weekly menu were available. We were satisfied and can recommend the restaurant.

A great restaurant German small menu with selected dishes but very tasty. We were served very quickly and courteously. The ambience is nice and clean. The toilets are renovated and well equipped. Plenty of parking behind the building. All in all, a great restaurant with good food and upscale prices.

We held our 40th Abitur celebration at Gasthof Raab - a stroke of luck for us. The hospitality is first class, the food and the selected wines all the best. Some of us travelled from far away and stayed in the first-class and cosy rooms. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired - including a fine selection of cheeses. Many thanks to the boss and his team - we felt as if we were in Abraham's lap.

Our history

At the end of the 19th century, with the Sunday afternoon walks on the site of today’s Inspector’s Garden, a tavern was established on the “garden” of the building inspector Franz Keim, which over the years developed into a full-fledged economy.

1959/1960

The Josef Raab family (senior) took over this business at the turn of 1959/60 and continued it with an integrated butcher’s shop with homemade sausages.

1973

In 1973, Josef Raab (Junior), the youngest of 7 children, took over the family business with his wife Elfriede.

1979

In 1979, Josef and Elfriede Raab expanded for the first time with 12 rooms and an extra adjoining room and further developed the food offer.

1989/1990

In 1989 and 1990, the two daughters of the family followed in the gastronomic footsteps and learned to be cooks. The son also began training as a cook in 1996.

2018/2019

With the turn of the year 2018/2019, daughter Sabine Lindner takes over the business and looks forward to your visit.
